About ToolProof

ToolProof is a desktop application for CNC machinists — a pre-cut verification step that sits between your CAM software and your spindle. It reads posted G-code and verifies tool list, depths, and offsets before cycle start. The operator remains the verifier of record — ToolProof is informational, not autonomous.

Why this product exists

CNC shops invest heavily in CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion, HSM) and in monitoring platforms (MachineMetrics, Predator). Both are strong tools. But there's a gap between them — between the moment CAM produces a posted file and the moment the spindle starts cutting — where most setup errors live. Wrong tool in pocket. Wrong offset. Wrong stickout.

ToolProof fills that gap. It reads what CAM produced and tells you what to verify, generated automatically from G-code, in a format machinists can actually use at the machine.

What ToolProof does

  • Parses posted G-code from Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, HSM, Alphacam, and other major post processors
  • Lists every tool number, every offset, every Z-depth in the program
  • Flags the deepest cut for setup verification and holder-clearance review
  • Exports or prints a complete setup sheet you can carry to the machine
  • Works completely offline. No cloud, no account, no login required

Who it's for

  • Solo programmers — Single Machine license, $149
  • Small shops, 2–20 machines — Shop Pack 5 ($549) or Shop Pack 10 ($999)
  • Job shops and contract manufacturers running setup-sensitive work where one crash erases a week of margin

The company

ToolProof LLC is an independent Indiana software company. We build one thing — pre-cut G-code verification — and we build it for the people who run the machines. It isn't a CAM platform, a monitoring suite, or a feature bolted onto someone else's roadmap. It's a focused tool for a specific, expensive problem: the setup mistakes that happen between a posted program and cycle start.

Every license directly funds continued development — faster fixes and support for more post processors and controls. When you email us, you reach the people who build the software.
