Each entry records material changes to EULA, Terms of Service, or Privacy Policy. When a doc version bumps, users are re-prompted to accept on next app launch.
Privacy Policy 1.2.0. The desktop app now reports daily usage counts with its license check-in: for each day it is used on a computer, the number of G-code programs verified, setup tickets printed and PDFs exported, tied to that computer's license ID. Section 1 lists the counts with their purpose and retention (at most the 400 most recent days for each license). Section 2 replaces the "no usage tracking" statement with an exact description of the counts, how they are sent (only inside the license check-in, never in a separate request) and what they never include (file names, program contents, tool data). Sections 3, 4 and 5 updated to match. The EULA (1.1.0) and Terms of Service (1.2.0) are unchanged.
Because the Privacy Policy changed materially, the ToolProof desktop app asks every user to review and accept the updated documents once, on the first launch of the build that starts sending the counts. Earlier builds send no usage counts.
Terms of Service 1.2.0. Section 3(b) rewritten: ToolProof is now sold as an annual per-computer subscription ($600 per computer per year) that renews automatically, with cancellation available from the billing portal or by email to support@toolproof.dev. Former Section 3(f) (the optional $99/year updates subscription) removed — updates are included in every subscription. Sections 5, 7, 8 and 12 aligned with the subscription model, including a renewal-price notice commitment.
EULA 1.1.0. Section 1 grant is now a term license for the duration of an active subscription (or trial) rather than a perpetual license; Sections 8(a) and 9 aligned.
Privacy Policy 1.1.0. Replaced the "no telemetry" statement with an exact description of the two requests the desktop app makes to the license server (activation and the periodic license check-in), the fields they carry, where the server stores them and for how long. Added Netlify Forms (contact-form storage) and Resend's 30-day US retention of message content and logs. Corrected the IP-address retention statement.
Because the documents changed materially, the ToolProof desktop app will ask existing users to review and accept the updated documents on the next launch after they update to a build that carries them.
Added the optional auto-renewing updates subscription (former Section 3(f)). Superseded by Terms 1.2.0.
Initial public release of EULA, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. Substituted entity name (ToolProof LLC) and home state (Indiana). Removed pre-release DRAFT banner. Updated effective date to 2026-05-05. Fixed broken EULA cross-link in Terms.
Customers who installed prior pre-release builds will be prompted to accept the finalized terms on next app launch (doc-hash mismatch trigger).
Initial pre-release draft. Superseded by 1.0.0 on 2026-05-05.
